Paul's message in the midst of trials

 Acts 20:17-24

Paul's message in spite of being concerned that he would be beaten and/or but in prison was consistent

" I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus."

Lord Jesus, help us to have a consistent message of Your love and life and give us the wisdom to know how and where to share it.

The Holy Spirit comes

  Act 2:1-4 Jesus said He had to leave in order for the Holy Spirit to come.  I have a theory that while Jesus walked the earth He had the Holy Spirit all to Himself but on the day of Pentecost (as described here) the Spirit was released on all the disciples that were gathered together.  It was a spectacular event with wind and what looked to be tongues of fire and what made it unique is they could speak in other languages. Lord Jesus, please help us to communicate with those that speak other languages.  I know You separated us by our languages because we were trying to be like god but at Pentecost You united us again.  Help us to remember You are God and we are just Your servants so You can use us to increase Your Kingdom.  Amen
