Paul is warned again not to go to Jerusalem

Acts 21:7-14 

Hearing from God is interesting.  In this case, those around Paul really thought he shouldn't go to Jerusalem because of the fate waiting for him.  Yet Paul, aware of what they were predicting, was willing to face the consequences for the sake of the Kingdom of God.

Lord Jesus, there are times when we choose the easy road over You.  Please help us to stand strong for You.  Guide us and direct us such that we make a Kingdom difference in this world.  Watch over the people of faith in the Ukraine.  Keep their spirits high.  Expose their enemy and give them wisdom to know how to respond.  Protect them I pray.  In Your mighty name.

The Holy Spirit comes

  Act 2:1-4 Jesus said He had to leave in order for the Holy Spirit to come.  I have a theory that while Jesus walked the earth He had the Holy Spirit all to Himself but on the day of Pentecost (as described here) the Spirit was released on all the disciples that were gathered together.  It was a spectacular event with wind and what looked to be tongues of fire and what made it unique is they could speak in other languages. Lord Jesus, please help us to communicate with those that speak other languages.  I know You separated us by our languages because we were trying to be like god but at Pentecost You united us again.  Help us to remember You are God and we are just Your servants so You can use us to increase Your Kingdom.  Amen
