Opposition yet success

 Acts 18:6-8

Paul was so opposed by some he left his teaching in the synagogue and said he'd go to the Gentiles but he actually went to the "church" leader and the leader accepted Paul's teaching and became a Christian (follower of Christ)

Lord Jesus, when we face opposition help us to also recognize those who support us.  In this world there is always another opinion; please help us to hear Your small voice and only listen to Your opinion. Amen

The Holy Spirit comes

  Act 2:1-4 Jesus said He had to leave in order for the Holy Spirit to come.  I have a theory that while Jesus walked the earth He had the Holy Spirit all to Himself but on the day of Pentecost (as described here) the Spirit was released on all the disciples that were gathered together.  It was a spectacular event with wind and what looked to be tongues of fire and what made it unique is they could speak in other languages. Lord Jesus, please help us to communicate with those that speak other languages.  I know You separated us by our languages because we were trying to be like god but at Pentecost You united us again.  Help us to remember You are God and we are just Your servants so You can use us to increase Your Kingdom.  Amen
