Salvation for the Gentiles

 Acts 13:46-49

The message came first to the Jews but then, because they refused the gift of eternal life, it went to the Gentiles.  What's interesting is this was prophesied in Isaiah many years before.  It has always been God's intention to reach EVERYONE.

Lord Jesus, with all of our diversity it is hard to not include sin in Your Kingdom but as we come closer to You we realize that You are so pure and we are not.  We need You to help clean us up and make us presentable to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  Lord Jesus, please also help us to accept others from other cultures.  Help us to connect and learn from each other and most importantly help us share Your love with each other.  Amen

The Holy Spirit comes

  Act 2:1-4 Jesus said He had to leave in order for the Holy Spirit to come.  I have a theory that while Jesus walked the earth He had the Holy Spirit all to Himself but on the day of Pentecost (as described here) the Spirit was released on all the disciples that were gathered together.  It was a spectacular event with wind and what looked to be tongues of fire and what made it unique is they could speak in other languages. Lord Jesus, please help us to communicate with those that speak other languages.  I know You separated us by our languages because we were trying to be like god but at Pentecost You united us again.  Help us to remember You are God and we are just Your servants so You can use us to increase Your Kingdom.  Amen
