In unexpected places...watch for it.

 Acts 16:13-15

What do we do on a Sabbath day?  Have you ever gone for a walk with God and encountered a God meeting.  Paul and his friends did.  We don't know what God incidents God has in stored for us each day so we need to watch for them.  We may meet someone who already believes in God but needs to be hooked into our ministry or we may meet someone who has never heard that Jesus lived, died and rose again; in either case God has a purpose for our meeting.

Lord Jesus, please give us Your eyes to see this world as You see it.  Show us who we are to connect with and give us the courage to reach out to others.  Amen

The Holy Spirit comes

  Act 2:1-4 Jesus said He had to leave in order for the Holy Spirit to come.  I have a theory that while Jesus walked the earth He had the Holy Spirit all to Himself but on the day of Pentecost (as described here) the Spirit was released on all the disciples that were gathered together.  It was a spectacular event with wind and what looked to be tongues of fire and what made it unique is they could speak in other languages. Lord Jesus, please help us to communicate with those that speak other languages.  I know You separated us by our languages because we were trying to be like god but at Pentecost You united us again.  Help us to remember You are God and we are just Your servants so You can use us to increase Your Kingdom.  Amen
