God has compassion on someone who takes care of others

 Acts 9:36-43

Spectacular!  Someone is risen from the dead as a result of Peter's prayer.

Lord Jesus, please help us to support those who do good deeds in the community and when they are sick help us to pray for healing for them.  And Lord, help us to believe in prayer again.  Thanks for starting to answer prayers this week.  Give us the faith to believe that You are in control and that You are working.

The Holy Spirit comes

  Act 2:1-4 Jesus said He had to leave in order for the Holy Spirit to come.  I have a theory that while Jesus walked the earth He had the Holy Spirit all to Himself but on the day of Pentecost (as described here) the Spirit was released on all the disciples that were gathered together.  It was a spectacular event with wind and what looked to be tongues of fire and what made it unique is they could speak in other languages. Lord Jesus, please help us to communicate with those that speak other languages.  I know You separated us by our languages because we were trying to be like god but at Pentecost You united us again.  Help us to remember You are God and we are just Your servants so You can use us to increase Your Kingdom.  Amen
