When witnesses see a leader

 Acts 7:57-58

The reaction to Stephen's history lesson wasn't good.  They started yelling and dragged him out of the city and began to stone him...but there's an important side line.  The witnesses placed their coats at Saul's feet; basically saying we respect you; maybe even implying "do something".

Lord Jesus, when we see an injustice help us to speak up and/or do something.  Give us Your divine wisdom to know how to intervene.  Amen.

The Holy Spirit comes

  Act 2:1-4 Jesus said He had to leave in order for the Holy Spirit to come.  I have a theory that while Jesus walked the earth He had the Holy Spirit all to Himself but on the day of Pentecost (as described here) the Spirit was released on all the disciples that were gathered together.  It was a spectacular event with wind and what looked to be tongues of fire and what made it unique is they could speak in other languages. Lord Jesus, please help us to communicate with those that speak other languages.  I know You separated us by our languages because we were trying to be like god but at Pentecost You united us again.  Help us to remember You are God and we are just Your servants so You can use us to increase Your Kingdom.  Amen
